Hey Y’all, I’m Lizann! I am the mother of three sons. I love my boys and I call myself blessed to have been able to stay home with them while they were growing up. But there comes a time when all chicks must leave the nest. So what happens when you have an empty nest? When you’re used to kids hanging out at home and all their friends are too? What happens when you are no longer involved with kid sports and school activities? You think your life will be so easy and you can do what you want anytime, right? Well you sorta can but it sure is lonely without those kids, and their friends, and their parents who are now your friends.
I call myself a retired stay at home mom now and for me the retirement life sucked! I love having people around me, I love seeing friends on a daily or weekly basis, it keeps me sane and out of the pits of depression. However, once you no longer have a reason to be together and have to actually work to get together, friends and friendships are hard. I was sitting in my house by myself a LOT and realized most of my friends lived in my computer, specifically on Facebook. I thought as much time as I spent on FB I might as well get paid for it.
Facebook parties were all the rage at that point and I had a product that I had tried and loved so I joined the company as a direct seller. I loved what I was doing and had made many friends thru FB, I had a team of other ladies who I loved, I enjoyed success and even earned an incentive trip. But the face to face connection was missing for me since I ran my business almost exclusively online.
I had heard of LuLaRoe leggings and was curious about them so I bought a pair. Talk about love at first touch! The buttery soft feel was amazing, but best of all, I felt Cute when I was wearing them. I quickly found a local retailer and started giving her all my business. She and I even talked about starting a LLR business but I was having none of it. I was about to go on the incentive trip and had no plans to leave the company I was with. Boredom set in and I knew I needed to make a change.
LLR seemed like an obvious fit. I love clothes and accessorizing. Pattern mixing and making outfits makes me happy. I had worked as a personal shopper before and had a background in buying, merchandising and sales. Thinking it would be fun to do and it would keep me busy, I became a LLR retailer in March of 2017. I have enjoyed working the business very much and it definitely keeps me busy. The best part has been meeting new people and making new friends, I’ve reconnected with a few old friends too. Why do I sell LuLaRoe? Its the people! I Love the people!
